REVIVAL OFFERING AND EXPENSE INFORMATION, ETC.
(Form Letter from the Executive Committee of the Wayne Hamrick Ministries,
Inc. Everything below will not apply to every church)
2011
Wayne and Joan Hamrick consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to
minister in your church. It is their desire to be a blessing in every way and never
a burden.
LOVE OFFERING OR HONORARIUM (from Brother Wayne’s
brochure): God has called us and we have made a commitment to go to any
size church, large or small, that is serious about growing and reaching people.
Since I am responsible for raising my own support, I ask that you receive a love
offering in each service, (including Sunday a.m., after the service, as some may
not be able to come back to the meeting, and Sunday p.m. service, and week
nights, unless paying the honorarium from the church budget). This best affords
your people the opportunity to express their love and support for this ministry. In
the churches where the pastor makes his people aware of the financial needs
of a full-time evangelist, the offerings are usually adequate and many times a
blessing. It is the responsibility of the pastor to make the appeal for the
offering in each of the services.
LODGING: If the meeting is not within driving distance, Wayne and Joan would
need a motel or hotel room, equal to a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn (with doors
opening into the motel hallway for security, if possible), for their lodging. In some
cases this arrangement may require them to be several miles from the church,
because there is no motel/hotel nearby. This is an acceptable arrangement.
Please don’t ask Wayne and Joan to stay in the home with the pastor and his
family, or other members of the church, because they are in revival approximately
thirty weeks each year, and simply need their privacy.
MEALS: Wayne and Joan enjoy fellowship and request that the meals
(excluding breakfast and lunch, Monday through Wednesday) be provided by the
church and enjoyed with the pastor and others, as you would plan. This may be
done by going to a restaurant, into a home, or having a covered dish meal at the
church.
TRAVEL EXPENSE: We ask that your church reimburse from your church
budget, the total miles round trip (51 cents IRS allowance per mile), traveled from
Cartersville, GA.
MINISTRY MATERIALS: Brother Wayne has brochures, ink pens, book
markers, soul-winning tracts, etc., that he would like to place on a table that they
might be available to the people, at no charge. These materials are to remind
people to pray for this ministry.
CHECKS: Since Brother Wayne travels year round, it is necessary for the love
offering check to be ready following the last service of the meeting. Please make
the love offering, or honorarium check to the WAYNE HAMRICK MINISTRIES,
INC. We ask that you make the travel expense check separate, also to the
Wayne Hamrick Ministries, Inc.
ONE-DAY MEETING: Consider a “One-Day Meeting” as you would a “Four-
Day Meeting.” When a full-time evangelist takes a “One-Day Meeting,” most
other churches don’t want the Monday-Wednesday.
As Wayne is an employee of the Wayne Hamrick Ministries, Inc., and all taxes
and withholdings are handled through the ministry, it is not necessary that the
church furnish a form 1099. The ministry is a non-profit organization and meets
all IRS requirements.
